•September 14, 2010 • Leave a Comment

so on saturday went to my first formula anything event. happened to be FD. pretty badass i must say and i cant wait for the next one. hopefully ill remember to bring my tripod, and maybe also get to go out onto the field. first time really using my 70-300 to shoot action and none of my panning shots were coming out good with it (no tripod, maybe even a higher iso would have helped but my camera does bad with high iso.) but ill be going out to some of the thunderdrift events to hone my skills. well im done talking so lets get straight to the pictures.

** Stance of the Union | Sacramento | Oct 23rd **

Well, it’s finally here… StanceWorks is proud to present Stance of the Union 2010, to be hosted in the capital of California on Oct 23rd. This event has been in the works for a good while now, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

The city of Sacramento has gone out of it’s way to accomodate us along with the lead event coordinator, Rob Dahn. He and the city have made it possible for us to have this event in the heart of old downtown Sacramento. We have also managed to make the event free for both participants and spectators. The goal of Stance of the Union is to unite likeminded enthusiasts, of different makes and models to come together all in the name of Stance.

While the event is free for all, we are requiring all cars wanting to be in the event to pre-register. Being that this is a “wheel fitment” event, your car will be pre-screened to insure that you are riding low and aggressive. While we aren’t requiring your wheel lips to be kissing your fenders, we don’t expect to see sunken wheels within the fenders, nor serious fender gap. We certainly want everyone to come be a part of the event, but ask for those who want to have their car in the show, to get low and aggressive.

There are many more details, which can be found at the Stance of the Union Website. We have hotel accommodations, a series of vendors and a schedule of events all there. You will find registration on the site as well.

Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ben at Let the countdown begin!

Ben Asked me to share the info
We will be attending with the Gs400, M5, A8, Genesis,

OMGDRIFT: Hella Norcal Dopeness >>> Lee’s Grape Drink S14

•August 31, 2010 • Leave a Comment

I originally planned on shooting Lee’s S13, but some inattentive Raiders fan in a big ass truck ran over it in a parking lot while Lee was getting some chicken curry katsu! Her excuse? “I couldn’t see your car because it was too small.”
Give me a break!

Luckily Lee has a matching S14! The car might not strike you as awesome at first, but upon closer inspection you’ll see the details. It started out as a 4-lug automatic, but the car is now 5-speed and rolling on a set of Enkei RPF1′s that Lee specially ordered in white. Its 4×4 stance is due to the Stance GR+ coilovers adjusted to a daily driver height. Lee slows down for speed bumps with brand new Z-brakes fitted with Project Mu pads. The KA24 is all stock (but not for long) and breathes out through a Circuit Sports 3″ catback exhaust.

In the looks department, Lee picked up a Version:Select copy from a local vendor, and had it painted that awesome factory 95-only purple. He also threw on a D-Max roof spoiler and corner lights and Circuit Sports clear headlight lenses.

Lee is also one of the coolest guys I know. He’s in the Air Force, stationed at Travis AFB, and he gets to go on secret 4-month long missions all over the world. Sometimes he goes to Germany and gets to drink awesome beer, but sometimes he has to go to Iraq or Afghanistan. He’s part of a cargo plane crew bringing supplies to the Army or something. I don’t know for sure because it’s a secret.

Because of his crazy schedule, he doesn’t get to go to as many drift events as he’d like. But when he does come out, it’s always great to have him.

I met up with Lee at Blu808′s BluBQ2 a few weeks ago, and we snuck out for a bit to take some pics and do a short interview!

AB: Are you going to be able to make it to ThunderDrift Round 4?
Lee: Nope, that’s the day I’m getting discharged from the Air Force!
AB: What are you going to do after you get out?
Lee: I hope nothing.
AB: Sit by the pool, drink a margarita, and read about yourself on OMGDrift?
Lee: Yea that’s on the list!

I bet you didn’t think the interview would be THAT short huh!?

Thanks for the feature Andrew Bohan! Sick pictures.
Also, please check out Andrew’s website!
